Melissa recently blogged about her decision to play in North Carolina despite the HB2 law that was enacted in the state on March 23, 2016.
During the show in Raleigh, NC on July 20, 2016, Melissa, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo made a generous $10,000.00 donation to Equality NC! Equality NC has shared their video of the donation on their Facebook page.
